The Brain Injury Association of America (BIAA) is a national organization that helps to advance research, increase awareness, and promote prevention techniques in the field of traumatic brain injuries. The BIAA is the voice of individuals with brain injuries and takes action in the areas where vigilance is most needed. The BIAA works with Congress to institute public health bills that would implement brain injury prevention strategies. It has recently filed a motion which would permit the review of the proposed settlement and to advise the court as a friend of the court, in the well-publicized case between the National Football League and over 4,500 past and present players. The Association also promotes research that assesses and helps to prevent concussion related injuries in youth sports. We are proud to announce that this well-renowned organization has named our law firm to its network of Preferred Attorneys.
Chaikin, Sherman, Cammarata, & Sigel has represented over 10,000 seriously injured clients, many of whom sustained traumatic brain injury. Our experience helps us to understand the complexities of a traumatic brain injury case as well as individuals who sustained TBI. For instance, victims of TBI need access to trauma and other experts, and our law firm assists clients in that endeavor to successfully achieve results. Depending on the injury, the victim may face a lifetime of serious symptoms or a complete disability. Getting an accurate diagnosis and finding the right treatment can be a very time consuming and complicated process.
CSCS shares the values and the goals of the BIAA. Managing partner, Ira Sherman, is helping to advance these goals by currently serving as a member of the Board of the BIAA and was recently elected Treasurer of the BIAA. Additionally, he is a Co-Founder and the Vice President of the BIAA of the District of Columbia. The endorsement of the BIAA naming CSCS as one of its “Preferred Attorneys” is another reason that you can trust our firm to understand your traumatic brain injury case, and to help provide the legal help necessary to obtain an appropriate recovery for your injuries.
